COVID-19 UPDATE 

Dear Friends of Riverside Cemetery:

 

The safety of our guests and employees is the top priority of Riverside Cemetery. As we continue to monitor guidance from federal agencies and the State of New Jersey, we have taken additional measures to assist in the containment of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). 

As of June 11,  2021, we are taking the following precautionary measures:

  • The Cemetery is open for burials and visitation. Please practice social distancing per N.J. guidelines.

  • All funeral services must be conducted graveside

  • For the health and safety of your family and our employees all family should wait in their vehicles until the Riverside staff has carried and lowered the casket. 

  • Chairs for services will not be provided.

We continue to implement the following changes:

  • Increased cleaning and disinfecting throughout public areas and high used surfaces per CDC recommendations.

  • We are requiring social distancing of at least 6 feet between employees and visitors and have implemented best practices within our staff.

  • Guests visiting the Cemetery for grave sales will be asked to use their own vehicle to view grave sites and remain in your vehicle to complete necessary paperwork.

  • Riverside continues to enforce our policy for employees who are sick to stay home.

  • Employees are asked to inform Riverside Cemetery if they are planning or have traveled to countries considered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to be high-risk areas for exposure to the coronavirus.
