LANDSCAPING
During the growing season the cemetery employs more than forty five professionally trained field staff. They provide services from planting, hand trimming and weeding of gravesites to lawn mowing and trimming grass around monuments.
GRAVECOVER PLANTINGS
Riverside offers gravecover plantings.
Miniature Yews (taxus densiformis) is a lush hedge-type evergreen bush that we keep neatly trimmed to about 12” in height. |
When you visit Riverside, you will see a number of gravebeds covered in ivy. We continue to maintain exisiting ivy beds, but we no longer offer ivy as a newly-planted grave covering. We have found that ivy’s growth pattern, and winter browning make it less than ideal for grave cover.
For larger family plots, hedgerows are also available. |
